The show invites competitors spanning the full nerd spectrum to come together to face challenges that will test their intellect, ingenuity, skills and pop-culture prowess. The nerds will first compete as teams before moving on to individual challenges, all with the goal of being named the quintessential master of all things nerdy.
The show uses a progressive elimination of the contestants. Following the first week, the contestants were separated into two teams chosen via schoolyard pick. The teams compete in a Nerd War, an event that requires them to work together to prepare for the main demonstration. Judges select which team is the better team, members on this team are safe from elimination. On the losing team, two players are selected for a "Nerd-Off": one is selected by a secret vote on the losing team, and the other from a similar vote from the winning team. The two selected players are told what the concept is behind the "nerd-off", giving them a few hours to prepare by talking to anyone else still remaining in the game. At the event, the losing player is eliminated from the game.

Typical King of The Nerds episodes consist of two challenges. The Nerd War is a team competition, often decided by a judge, with the entire team granted immunity from being sent home. The "Nerd-Off" is a head-to-head elimination challenge between two members of the losing Nerd War team, with each team voting in one competitor.

Reality TV isn't just for feuding divas, fashion designers or screaming chefs any more. Created and hosted by Robert Carradine and Curtis Armstrong, King of the Nerds is a weekly unscripted one-hour competition series to determine who will win the right to sit on the Throne of Games as King (or Queen) of the Nerds and receive $100,000. The show follows the now-standard format of a weekly team vs team competition called a Nerd War, with two members of the losing team forced to face each other in a nerd-off. Guest judges include TV stars and professionals from a variety of media-related industries. Eleven self-professed nerds in their mid-20s were invited to compete at the palatial Nerdvana, a mansion full of high tech gadgets, game-related goodies and a treasure trove of cosplay supplies. Their talents run the gamut from Moogega, a NASA planetary protection engineer who had her Masters and a Ph.D. by age 22 to Virgil, a master computer hacker studying brain science. Ten of this season's contestants come from around the U.S. and one is from Canada (Celeste, a professional competitive gamer.) To win a Nerd War, the contestants have to use a combination of mental and physical skills, knowledge of both scientific and science fiction / fantasy culture, ingenuity and team work. Strategy plays a big part in each team's planning as the nerds figure out whose special skills will help them gain an advantage. There is action, humor, drama and a number of personal revelations as the contestants prepare for the week's challenge. Each week, the entire winning team receives immunity and enjoys a special prize. The winning and losing teams each select a member of the losing team to go head-to-head in the nerd-off, with the loser of that challenge being sent home. Carradine and Armstrong believe that what sets King of the Nerds apart from other reality outings is its heart, and their goal is to celebrate the nerds' quirks and strengths. Among the show's producers are Ben Silverman, Rick Ringbakk, Rebecca Hertz, Todd Mesirow and Craig Armstrong. King of the Nerds runs 42 minutes fit into a one-hour time slot and is distributed in the U.S. by Turner Broadcasting Company.

King of the Nerds is an American reality tv series in which a group of self-described nerds compete on who gets to be the titular king. Season 1 ran for eight episodes in 2013. We watched it because one of the contestants was the roleplaying game designer Ivan Van Norman, who made a game called Outbreak: Undead.
Eight episodes of Santas in the Barn are airing twice a week, on Wednesdays and Thursdays, this month, concluding on Christmas Eve. Both episodes that have aired so far are online and on demand, and I highly recommend catching up.

Many shows opt for seasonal, themed episodes and Halloween is one of the best examples of this. King of the Hill is no stranger to seasonal episodes and while the show does not have too many Halloween episodes, they are absolutely gold. With that in mind, we have listed the King of the Hill Halloween episodes alongside some iconic quotes from them.
Pigmalion is definitely one of the most memorable episodes of King of the Hill of all time. The main reason for this is that it is one of the darkest episodes of any animated show and was originally meant to air during season 5 but was deemed to be too violent at the time.
And that is our take on the best and worst King of the Hill Halloween episodes. Agree? Disagree? Agree to disagree? No matter how you feel about our list, leave us a note in the comment section and give us your feedback! We love hearing from our readers.
At lunch, J.D. mocks Turk in front of the other surgeons for participating in ballet in college. Turk is upset that J.D. would sell him out so easily. At the bar Turk tells J.D. that he has always been his friend because he has never been afraid to be himself. J.D. takes this to heart and sits with the nerds the next day at lunch and gives himself the nickname "King of the Nerds".

Dr. Kelso caves and buys a replacement computer, but it is another old computer, while Kelso has bought a new computer for his own office.

When T.J. breaks his collarbone during a kickball game, he is forced to stay for five weeks in "Room 51": a room of nerds - colloquially referred to as The Pale Kids - who chose to stay inside during recess.
In a kickball game where it was the 4th graders vs. 5th graders, Lawson was up to kick, where he says it'll be an easy out. As Lawson kicked the ball, T.J. runs to get it and fell backwards on a bench where the gang is shocked to see T.J''s arm bend the other way (with Lawson more horrified as he sees that T.J. caught the ball, thus making him out.)
Three years ago, a kid name tiny Sedgwick got into an accident where he played Pickle with his shoelaces untied, resulted in him in a leg cast but instead of going to recess. Sedgwick was forced to spend recess in room 51, resulted in no one ever seeing him again. After Lawson left laughing, Miss Finster sent T.J. to room 51, where after making it, he encountered four pale skin nerds and they attempted to introduce themselves, only for T.J. to defend himself by showing of a karate move. Later after school Gus and the others wondered if The Pale Kids tried to erase T. J's mind and T.J. then said he did but he manage to scare them off as he plans to continue to ignore them until he is healed. 2ff7e9595c
